Do you need to make sense of your life, or help making changes?
We live in a highly complex and often bewildering world and can find ourselves in need of help at times. We are expected to make decisions and juggle the needs of others and ourselves,, which can lead to feelings of low self esteem, loneliness & overwhelm.
Understanding and making sense of ourselves and the world we live in helps us to become free from old unhelpful behaviours and beliefs, and shines a light on our true identity.
I work with people in a safe, non-judgemental environment, through Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Psychosynthesis and Coaching.
I have a diploma inPsychosynthesis Counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London and am a member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), and work under clinical supervision to ensure I continue to provide the highest quality of care.
Psychotherapeutic Counselling offers an opportunity to develop a deep relationship between Counsellor and client, to allow for the exploration of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We can process the challenges and experiences that are holding you back and work at your pace to explore options for personal growth. The therapeutic relationship betweenCounsellor and client is the key to understanding what has previously seemed overwhelming or insurmountable, and the foundation for facilitating change.
Psychotherapeutic Counselling offers a dedicated space to talk, to be heard, to relate and to make sense of the past and the present.People come to counselling for many different reasons, and with a wide variety of aims, such as:
I also work with clients using Psychosynthesis, which is a psychology of hope, with its eye not only on history, but also on a purposeful future giving individuals the capacity to reorient their lives in the direction of meaning and values. Psychosynthesis is also a psychology of the self, acknowledging that the human experience is at the same time spiritual, emotional, physical and behavioural in its nature. Each of these aspects are deeply connected and need to come into harmony in order for us to understand ourselves better.
Personal crises and difficulties, and the inevitable resonance with past wounding, will often spark a desire to explore the psychological and relational worlds more deeply and with greater purpose. Working within a Psychosynthesis framework the focus will concurrently be on what might be unfolding at the level of soul, spirit and Self that these opportunities bring. Holding open the often unexpected creative possibilities inherent in what ‘may yet be’ or what is attempting to make itself known – TheSelf.
Coaching gives you the opportunity to assess all areas of your life and allows you time to focus on what needs to change. It may assist in breaking negative belief patterns and in the setting of new, challenging aspirations. Whatever goals and ambitions you may have, or difficulties you would like to overcome, you may find that coaching can motivate you into making real changes.
Coaching can help you gain greater self-confidence and is particularly useful in helping you to
Coaching allows for a shorter timescale than therapeutic counselling, typically 6 weeks, and can be conducted in a more casual environment such as over coffee or on a mind clearing walk - weather permitting! In this safe non judgemental environment we find out how to best use the talents and qualities you already have, and make a difference, no matter how big or small.
If you feel you would benefit from talking confidentially about any challenges you might be experiencing, whatever they might be, please get in touch with me for more information or to book in an initial consultation by calling 07843 501841 or emailing email@example.com
