I have been practicing as a hypnotherapist since qualifying in 2000, initially working in Mid Sussex until I moved to Eastbourne in 2009. I regularly attend seminars and training to ensure that I am up to date with new techniques and research.

'I was recommended to Sophie Thornton by my osteopath who knew of her success from a partner in his practice, it was with some trepidation but an open mind that I made an appointment to see her. Armed with my long list of fears I went along to what I thought was going to be the first of many sessions, surely we would not be able to deal with all these age old fears in one visit, but I was wrong, Sophie calmly and gently dealt with every issue in a relaxed systematic way using the effective TFT treatment sequence, I was asked to think of the fear, work through the sequence and then re-evaluate my level of fear and every time after doing this the fear had in most cases disappeared, for the fears that were slightly more difficult to eradicate we would repeat the sequence to ensure that the fear had gone. 'I first approached Sophie Thornton for treatment just after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I will admit to being a little sceptical but thought I really must give it a try. How pleased I am that I did.

'We have just got back from our holiday in America, so I thought I would just let you know how the flying went. I used the cd and tapping techniques the night before we went, but didn't feel the need at the airport or on the plane. I was only slightly apprehensive on the flight out to Denver- by no means terror struck. When we were out there I took a flight over Monument valley which was great apart from occasional slight anxiety as it was quite turbulent- but after the first few bumps I sat back and thoroughly enjoyed it. I then took a fantastic helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon. The only problem there was that it didn't last long enough- it was amazing. I was so relaxed and awed I wished it could have gone on and on. Our flights home were Las Vegas- Chicago, Chicago- Heathrow. Even with quite a bit of turbulence it was a doddle. I'll even go so far as to say I enjoyed it- and I never gave using the CD or tapping a single thought after the initial flight out (I will keep it just in case for the future- though I don't think I'll need it again!) Never thought I'd be in that situation.
So thank you again, what a difference it has made. It meant I was able to enjoy the holiday to the full and Jon was able to sit back and relax without having to worry about me. Money very well spent!’
