Natural Fitness and Therapies – The Beach Studio is much more than just a fitness Centre to come and exercise at; it’s a welcoming space for local people who want to make new friendships and access expert advice on health and wellbeing.
It’s is also an environment that challenges the thinking that getting old means accepting decline in your quality of health and enjoyment of life. We simply don’t accept that!
When Tracy Fuller took over the company in 2018, she did so with an intention that went beyond just making a profit. Personal fitness, mindfulness and wellbeing are all very close to her heart.
You see, when she was aged just 30, Tracy was a smoker and a bit of a vegetable dodger! She was also not feeling great, and knew it would take a big change of habits to improve her enjoyment from life.
Tracy decided to join a gym and began exercising five times a week. She gradually changed her diet; learning to love the veggies and became interested in the true value of healthy eating.
Tracy was so inspired by the health benefits she experienced that she went on to study nutrition formally, and still has a real passion for sharing her experience and knowledge to help others achieve change in their own lives.
She firmly believes that if she could make those changes, so can anyone!
Now a marathon running vegan, Tracy’s enthusiasm for all thing’s health related continues. She is also a keen environmentalist.
It was after experiencing a number of running injuries however and gaining the advice of physiotherapists to “sort your core out”, that Tracy discovered the benefits of Pilates.
Despite being a regular runner, and using weights and ab workouts, she found that her core strength was not great, and this had led to a number of muscle imbalances that were allowing injuries to happen too easily.
It was Pilates that put a stop to this.
Now stronger, and injury free, Tracy can run further than ever without suffering frequent injury!
Having met many other fitness enthusiasts who were experiencing the same frustrations she had before learning about Pilates, Tracy is now keen to help them break away from the belief that “injury through exercise is just a part of aging”.
Natural Fitness and Therapies also has a wide range of different practitioners to help the people of Eastbourne and surrounding areas enjoy better health – both in mind and in body.
